Alumni

When the service year comes to a close, our corps members set out into the community to do some pretty amazing things. This is one of the many amazing things about ESC, it paves the way for future leaders. Here are things our alums are doing following their year of service.

2017-2018 Alumni

Darin, Katelyn

Darin // Darin served at YMCA International Services and will be continuing on to do a second year with Texas ESC working with Missional Communites in the Diocese of Texas.

Katelyn // Katelyn served with Missional Voices and the United Thank Offering and has accepted a position with UTO to continue her work with them in Washington D.C.

2016-2017 Alumni

Will // Will served with St Michael’s Episcopal Church in Austin. After his service year, he accepted a second year of service with ESC Maryland in Baltimore.

Valerie // Valerie served with Avenue CDC in Houston and has returned home to sunny Florida to be with family.

Cora // Cora served with Sustainable Food Center in Austin and has moved on to Northwest Missouri State to finish her undergrad.

Colton // Colton served with YMCA International Services. He accepted an AmeriCorps position in Olympia, Washington following his service.

Gillian // Gillian served with Interfaith Action of Central Texas in Austin and has remained in Austin to grow a new intentional living community along with Miriam.

Miriam // Miriam served with Casa Marianella and has accepted a position with them, and is beginning a new intentional living community along with Gillian.

Kaitlyn // Kaitlyn served with the Beacon in Houston and has returned to Iowa to apply for grad schools.

2015-2016 Alumni

Jordan // Jordan served with Open Door Mission in Houston and returned to Southern California to continue school following his service

Erin // Erin served with Casa Marianella in Austin and remained with Casa as a full-time employee following their service.

Scott // Scott served with Avenue CDC in Houston and accepted a positiona as the Community Connections Coordinator with Wesley Community Center, a partner of Avenue CDC following his service.

Mary // Mary served with Sustainable Food Center in Austin and now works for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas as the Assistant to the Bishop for Social Media.

Paige // Paige served with Community Family Centers in Houston and following her service, returned to Montana to continue her teaching certification.

Koacher // Koacher served his year with Lord of the Streets and has returned to South Carolina to continue working on his music.

Chris // Chris served with H.A.N.D. in Austin and remained with H.A.N.D. as a full-time employee following his service.

2014-2015 Alumni

Vesta // Vesta served her year with Interfaith Ministries. After her service, she moved back to the northeast to pursue another service opportunity.

Matt // Matt served at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and is currently serving as the Youth Minister for an Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi.

Juan // Juan Served his year with Open Door Mission and returned home to continue his education following his service year.

Chris // Chris served at Avenue CDC and was offered a full-time position with them, which he gladly accepted.

Calvin // Calvin served his year with Lord of the Streets and returned home to continue his education following his service year.

2013-2014 Alumni

Cassy // served at Lord of the Streets. Following her service, Cassy enrolled in college in north Houston.

Max // served at Avenue CDC and was employed by Avenue CDC as a full-time staff member following his year of service.

Tyler // served at The Beacon and continued his work in homeless services following his service.
